Our History
Brighthouse was born in the middle of a big industrial change in Finland, seen in both telecommunication and maritime sectors. When mobile devices activities were scaling down mutually huge potential was seen in intelligent shipping. Brighthouse brings in to the maritime game more than 300 man years of experience learned during Nokia and Microsoft years to enable ambitious visions of tomorrow’s remote and autonomous ships and make them become reality.
Our company’s key focus lays in marine environment, but various other applications are also under development. We started with 9 persons on board on January 2016 and by now our headcount is already over 20 persons consisting of HW, SW, system design and cyber security experts. We do close co-operation with Finnish universities in technology development and have all the time graduate students on top of our permanent headcount, bringing perfect mix of latest technology and enthusiasm into our company.
